Photo collage story - Athena

The sound of sea salt waves ringing in my ears, footprints pressed all over the delicate golden sand, children and their families full of joy and laughter while enjoying their evening stroll on the beach along with a beautiful sunset in view.

An abnormal thing about this beach is that there's a lush, full of life cherry blossom tree here and the thing that makes it sound abnormal is how it's not even spring yet and it's already in full bloom. Suddenly, a breeze of wind comes colliding towards me, blowing cherry blossom petals towards my direction. It happens to get in my eyes, I use my numb yet cold hands to wipe it away. After getting out the stubborn flower petal out of my eyes, It seems as if I'm in an entirely different place because now I'm now seeing a field of flowers!

When being in this strange environment yet having no idea whats going on, I cautiously make my way through the field of flowers. Minute by minute, the atmosphere starts to become foggy and misty, my eyes open wide as I encounter something new along the way, from seeing a fresh field of Camellias to a wilted field of Poppies. A breeze of pollen from the Camellias blow towards my direction, resulting in a trigger in my brain making me put my attention to a wilted Oak tree....."AH!" I shouted out, backing up as far as I can, gazing at me down from the wilted Oak tree was a cat, it's eyes were an aqua green colour. For a moment I had a feeling of nostalgia because it reminded me of the sea, and when I was little, everyday my parents used to take me to the beach and we would spend those days with joy and laughter.

After collecting myself and getting out of the nostalgia phase yet being fascinated by the cat's eyes. I followed the cat, leading me to a lush green bush, It spoke to me telling me to grab the holographic mirror in the bush. Reacting with an expression of confusion, I reached my hand inside and grabbed the mirror, a voice had spoken out loud, asking me some questions as to why I was here and how I got here. Being startled by the voice, I paused for a moment before replying by saying, "I didn't come here intentionally", "I just appeared here". To see whether or not I was telling the truth, the mirror had showed images of this strange field of flowers' history, and after believing my words, the cat and the mirror had said their goodbye to me.

As the hours went by, a sudden portal appeared right before my eyes. Once again, I thought as if I was seeing things again because it happened to be the same colour as the cat's eyes but I thought wrong. "Is it a portal to teleport me back to my dimension?" I asked myself. Assuming that it was, I walked into the magic portal."I swear this day gets weirder and weirder", I said to as I saw these alien-like creatures, they looked somehow like a transparent jelly kind of textured alien. They spoke in English which was good because if they were to speak in their own native language, we wouldn't be able to communicate at all. As each and every individual creature returned back to their homes in planets which I never had heard of, I got to see what kind of environment they had been living in.

After a long and strange day, finally I returned back to where I originally was. It felt so good to just breathe in the fresh sea salt scented air and best of all the sunset was reflected upon the beach water!

Last week, each individual in our year 10 english class made a photo collage. We made our collage about what our favourite flower, animal, season, weather and water was. For example the list of things I chose were, flower: cherry blossoms, animal: at, colour: pink, water: beach water and season: spring. We also learnt about 3 sentence starters such as, adverb at the front, starting with a hook, and the sentence train. For instance, with the sentence train, we would come up with a basic sentence and you could switch around the words to make the sentence itself have more depth and become more detailed.
